Meet Dr Heather King

Dr King is a UK-trained family doctor with many years of experience in women’s and children’s health. A graduate of the University of Dundee Medical School (2002), Dr King became a Member of the Royal College of General Practitioners (UK) with Merit in 2006. She has worked as a GP for 16 years, initially as a partner within a busy urban medical practice in Scotland for over seven years. During this time, she was a GP trainer for trainee doctors and mentored 4th-year medical students from Glasgow University. Dr King continues to enjoy teaching as a clinical facilitator for medical students at the Lee Kong Chian Medical School, Singapore.

Through a developing interest in women’s health, Dr King gained the Diploma of Obstetrics and Gynaecology and Diploma of Child Health in the UK (2004) and became a member of the Faculty of Family Planning and Reproductive Healthcare (2005). Dr King has been a valued member of IMC for over eight years. As a mother of four children, Dr King appreciates women’s and children’s health both as a mother and a doctor.
