IMC now offers for you and your family the COVID-19 swab test (PCR test) in all our clinics for everyone who needs a COVID-19 test. See below how to make an appointment with IMC.
A) You Need A COVID-19 Swab Test For Your Travels
This is for travellers who will be travelling from Singapore to a destination country that has a mandatory requirement to produce a negative COVID-19 swab test prior to entry into the country. It is a nurse-only appointment.
1. Step – Preparation
- Check your destination country SafeTravel requirements here. Travellers to China, check the requirements here.
- Book your flight to your destination country
- Prepare the following documents: NRIC/FIN, passport and flight details (date and time)
Step 2 – Appointment Booking
- To book your appointment, please complete your request and ‘patient agreement’ form here. After submission, IMC reviews the form and reverts within 1 working day to make a suitable appointment booking.
Step 3 – At Your Appointment Day
- Bring with you NRIC/FIN, passport and flight details (date and time)
Step 4 – After Your Appointment
- IMC informs you of your result. The result is provided no later than 48 hours from the time of test taking.
- If your test result come back NEGATIVE, IMC will notify you via email of your result. You will receive a ‘Memo on COVID-19 real time RT-PCR swab test’ with your test result clearly defined.
- If your test results come back POSITIVE, a doctor from the clinic will contact you to make necessary arrangements. You will not be permitted to travel.
B) You Want To Take A COVID-19 Swab Test Without Travelling
This is applicable for anyone who wants to take a COVID-19 swab test (symptomatic and asymptomatic). It is a doctor’s appointment.
1. Step – Preparation
- Prepare the following documents: NRIC/FIN and passport
Step 2 – Appointment Booking
- To book your appointment, please complete you appointment request form here or call one of our clinics.
Step 3 – At Your Appointment Day
- Bring with you NRIC/FIN and passport
Step 4 – After Your Appointment
- IMC informs you of your result. The result is provided no later than 48 hours from the time of test taking.
- If your test result come back NEGATIVE, IMC will notify you via email of your result. You will receive a ‘Memo on COVID-19 real time RT-PCR swab test’ with your test result clearly defined.
- If your test results come back POSITIVE, a doctor from the clinic will contact you to make necessary arrangements.
Who Can Take A COVID-19 Swab Test?
Everybody can take the test, children and adults. There is no minimum age limit.
Please note:
- Children below 12 years of age will have the COVID-19 swab test done at our Children’s Clinic at Camden
- Owing to our accredited laboratory partner, IMC only carries out nasal-pharyngeal COVID-19 swab tests
If you have frequent nose bleeds, recent surgery or trauma to your nose, a very crooked nose or nasopharyngeal cancer we will not be able to do the COVID swab test at IMC.
