We want to ensure patient safety and quality of care therefore, the type of appointment will be assessed by our staff to see if the reason for the visit is suitable for telemedicine. Our staff will contact you if an in-person consultation is required.
How does it work?
Simply request a telemedicine appointment using our Online Booking system or by phoning our clinic. One of our friendly staff will be in touch via phone or email to confirm your appointment and send through detailed information on how to get you all setup and ready to join your telemedicine appointment.

Are My Symptoms Suitable For a Telemedicine Consultation?
Conditions NOT suitable for Telemedicine:
Any Emergencies, the following are symptoms of emergencies and you should go to the Emergency department of a hospital immediately:
- Persistent and severe chest pain
- Severe injuries – including fractures and uncontrolled bleeding wounds
- Recurrent vomiting
- Diarrhoea with black stools
- Vomiting blood
- Severe breathing difficulties
- Severe sudden headaches
- Sudden paralysis/ weakness / numbness/ slurred speech
- In labour, pregnancy complications
Conditions suitable for Telemedicine:
- Colds and Flu
- Skin conditions
- Chronic Medication refill
- Stable chronic medical conditions
- Diarrhoea, constipation
- Travel Medicine advice
- Follow ups (Health screenings etc)
- Mental Health follow up
- Second opinions
The following symptoms need to be assessed in-person, please book an appointment to be seen in the clinic:
- Blood in urine
- Urinary or bowel incontinence
- Fever > 3 days
- Visual disturbances
- Dizziness
- Minor injuries
- Abdominal pain
- Mild to moderate breathing difficulties
- Mild chest pain
- First consultation for pre-existing chronic conditions
- Patients requiring frequent or long term use of medications with addictive potential
IMC reserves the right to terminate any Telemedicine consultation should their assessment be that they are unable to deliver the appropriate standard of care to the patient.
Should IMC assess that it is necessary to have a face-to-face evaluation/consultation with the patient before or very soon after commencement of Telemedicine services, or if the patient is advised to seek emergency care, the patient is advised to follow this advice. IMC and/or its doctors will not be responsible for the patient’s failure to do so.
