The International Paediatric Clinic welcomes our latests Doctor, Dr Marina Barzilay who will see patients at our Paediatric Clinic. She looks forward to providing medical care for families from the expatriate and local community in Singapore.
Dr Barzilay qualified in medicine at the University of Rome “La Sapienza” (Italy) in 1996. She completed a fellowship in Paediatrics at Meir Hospital in Kfar-Saba (Israel) in 2004 where she worked as a Paediatrician during the fellowship and thereafter as Acting Chief of Paediatrics at Joseftal Hospital (Eilat, Israel). In 2010 she completed her subspecialty in Paediatric Neurology and Child Development.
Dr Barzilay grew up in Buenos Aires, Argentina and, since late childhood, in Tel Aviv, Israel. She moved to Singapore with her husband and children in 2014.

1) Why did you choose Paediatric Medicine?
First of all, because I like children, because of their uniqueness, a child is not a “small sized person”…
I also like the challenges of the different areas in paediatric medicine and because of the special ways you connect with children and their families
2) What is the kindest thing a patient has ever said to you or done for you?
Most of the time it it is their parents…”You have been the light at the end of the tunnel for me”, “We are happy to have met you and you have taken care of us in one of the most difficult times in our lives”
3) What aspect of Paediatric medicine interests you most?
Child development
4) What do you like to do when you are not working?
Spend time with friends and family, scuba diving, ski, travel, go to the cinema/music concerts, read.
5) What book are you currently reading?
“And the Mountain echoed” by Khaled Hosseini
6) Where did you spend your last vacation?
Italy, The Dolomites we spent the time skiing with family and friends.
